High-performance 100% synthetic lubricant specially designed for latest-generation petrol and diesel engines that comply with Euro 4, 5 or 6 emission standards, which require an engine oil with high HTHS viscosity (> 3.5 mPa.s) and ‘Mid SAPS’ with reduced sulphated ash content (≤ 0.8%), phosphorus (≥0.07% - ≤ 0.09%) and sulphur (≤ 0.3%). Compatible with catalytic converters (Oxi-CAT), Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) and SCR (Selective Catalyst Reduction). ACEA C3

Engines that comply with Euro 4, 5 and 6 emissions regulations are equipped with sensitive exhaust gas aftertreatment systems. In fact, sulphur and phosphorus inhibit the functioning of catalysts, leading to inefficient exhaust gas treatment, while sulphated ash clogs DPFs, reducing the regeneration cycle, accelerating oil ageing, increasing fuel consumption and reducing engine power. The ACEA C3 standard requires the lubricant to have significant oil film strength and low emission performance when used in powerful engines.
MOTUL 8100 X-CLEAN+ EFE 0W-30 features a composition of advanced synthetic base oils, along with specific friction modifier molecules and controlled levels of SAPS that provide excellent oil film strength, reduce engine friction and provide compatibility with aftertreatment devices. MOTUL 8100 X-CLEAN+ EFE 0W-30 offers high lubricating properties such as wear protection and high temperature resistance for better oil consumption control. ACEA C3 lubricants achieve extended oil change intervals under the control of the vehicle's on-board computer.
Many Asian OEMs, such as HONDA, KIA/HYUNDAI, MITSUBISHI, NISSAN, SUBARU, SUZUKI, SSANGYONG, and TOYOTA, also recommend ACEA C3 quality lubricant, which guarantees maximum performance and durability for most of their recent vehicles (since 2006), especially diesel vehicles with DPF.

Approvals:

BMW LL-04

The BMW Long Life-04 specification imposes severe limitations on the lubricant, mainly due to Valvetronic and aftertreatment systems. compatibility. It covers all BMW engines from 2004 onwards and also all BMW engines prior to 2004. BMW LL-04 covers all previous BMW specifications, such as BMW LL-98 and BMW LL-01.
ATTENTION: BMW LL-04 product may be used for petrol engines only in European Union countries, Switzerland, Norway and Liechtenstein. Outside these countries, a BMW LL-01 lubricant such as MOTUL 8100 X-cess gen2 5W-40 is required. Consult BMW recommendations if in doubt.
MOTUL 8100 X-clean+ EFE 0W-30 meets all specifications of the BMW Group Long Life-04 standard for BMW, MINI and ROLLS-ROYCE vehicles without exception, i.e. for models prior to 2019 and after 2019. For models up to 2019, i.e. only until the end of 2018, MOTUL 8100 X-clean 5W-40 can also be used.

MERCEDES-BENZ MB-Approval 229.52

MERCEDES has developed the MB 229.52 standard for all ‘BlueTEC’ diesel engine models equipped with SCR (Selective Catalyst Reduction), which allows NOx to be treated using the AdBlue® additive, also known as ‘Diesel Exhaust Fluid’.
The MB 229.52 specification is fully compatible with the previous versions MB 229.51 and MB 229.31 Specifications for all Mercedes Diesel engines with or without DPF and some Petrol engines. The MB 229.52 standard also requires better cold flow properties to reduce the hydrodynamic friction of the oil in order to achieve fuel economy, especially when the oil is cold. This additional requirement for cold flow properties allows for excellent oil flow at start-up, faster oil pressure build-up, greater agility to vary rpm and faster reaching of operating temperature.

PORSCHE C30

PORSCHE introduced its C30 level to ensure perfect lubrication for all its diesel and V6 petrol engines (Porsche Cayenne). The MOTUL 8100 X-clean+ EFE 0W-30 lubricant, approved as ‘PORSCHE C30’, meets all these demanding requirements, especially with regard to oil film resistance.

VW 504 00 507 00

VOLKSWAGEN, for its specifications VW 504 00 and VW 507 00, requires a lubricant that is fully compatible with its after-treatment systems, such as catalytic converters and DPFs, to ensure a very long service life for most VW petrol and diesel engines, AUDI, SEAT and SKODA vehicles.

The FIAT 9.55535-S3 performance specification requires that the engine oil complies with ACEA C3 and 0W-30 to lubricate FIAT, ALFA-ROMEO, LANCIA 2.2L, 2.8L and 3.0L Multijet and CRD Diesel engines and JEEPs manufactured from 2011 onwards.

CHRYSLER MS 11106

The CHRYSLER MS-11106 specification for diesel engines with DPF reflects this FIAT 9.55535-S3 specification, as well as CHRYSLER's MB 229.51 specification.

The SAE 0W-30 viscosity grade minimises the oil's hydrodynamic friction, which saves fuel, especially when the oil is cold. It improves oil flow during start-up, rapid oil pressure build-up, faster engine response and quicker reaching of operating temperature.
Environmentally friendly, this type of oil reduces fuel consumption and therefore minimises greenhouse gas emissions (CO₂).
